BushFire in Victoria

My Macro Monday is a lit candle ,, Tribute to all those who suffered and escaped the Bush Fire ..  As I was looking closely at the fire on the candle,, I am thinking about the people, animals, properties and nature that were destroyed..  Fire is beneficial but if it is wide scale and massive , as what happened in Victoria Australia,, it is dangerous....

Some areas are still at threat and we are all hoping for things to settle ...
Not only in Victoria but also here in NSW where there is still some areas burning..

Australia is in mourning and peoples hearts are heavy.... It is a sad day watching the news and hearing all the stories......

There are people who were not lucky enough to escape the Bush Fire that swept the the communities of Stanley, Bruarong, Dederang, Gundowring, Gundowring Upper, Kancoona, Kancoona South, Coral Bank, Glenn Creek and Running Creek.

It was terrible to see the images and stories of people who survived the worst natural disaster in Australia.. It is so sad.... People who lost EVERYTHING and Loved ones..... May their hearts be healed and my  Prayers are for them....

The death toll in the Victorian bushfires has risen to more than 100, and numbers are expected to rise in the nation's worst natural disaster.
There were 31 active fires across the state as of 0530 (AEDT) on Monday, the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) and the Country Fire Authority (CFA) said.
he death toll from the Victorian bushfires has reached 108 and authorities warn the number of fatalities is likely to rise even further.

The toll from Australia's deadliest natural disaster had reached 108 as at 6am (AEDT) on Monday, authorities said.

At least 750 homes have been destroyed and more than 330,000ha burnt out, while authorities said some fires could take weeks to contain.
All fire-devastated areas will be treated as crime scenes to determine if arson was involved, Victorian Police Commissioner Christine Nixon said on Monday.

Ms Nixon said forensic investigators had begun work in the Churchill region, where police suspect arson was involved.

"At this stage we have a team at the fire at Churchill in the Gippsland Valley, which is certainly one that we believe was deliberately lit," Ms Nixon told the Seven Network.

"Our fire experts and our own investigators have suggested that the way that it happened, how fast that it happened, that there is good evidence to believe that it was lit."

Forensic investigators have also begun work in the Kinglake area.

"They're where the most deaths are, but wherever a death has occurred we investigate that as a crime," Ms Nixon told ABC Radio.

Last week, I posted a Macro pic of a Dandelion , the lens that I used as my Lensbaby, so I wanted to try how will come out if I use my Canon Macro EF 100 lens ... So one hot afternoon went to the backyard and start searching for dandelions but most of them are dry already ,, so off I went to my front yard and lucky enough to see 1 dandelion must be waiting for me to take a snap of.. Too Close

This is my second entry for the Macro Monday and I like joining here,, Although I am not a photographer , when hubby bought me a DSLR I just like taking pics and experiment with it; and by I am willing to learn and open for more tips and suggestions about photography..

I also love Lisa's site because she takes good photos and it inspires me a lot ,, so check her MACRO MONDAY here...

I used a Baby lens with macro lens on this one.... I rarely use my baby lens but I'm not 100% satisfied with the macro shots ,, well you know that Baby lens have this blurry edges  that is why it looks like this... Anyway I  think I need to read and practice more about using my LensBaby ...

Since I really wanted a good Macro Lens my hubby bought me a Canon EF 100mm f/ 2.8  last month and this is my fave lens at the moment.. although its a bit heavy I still like using it ,, and I can see that I need more practice and patience....

Any TIPS on using this lens.... I'm very open to any suggestions....
