My Tent

I love this tent!!!!

We spent the whole summer in the sun!!! You should see my complexion now.... Very Tan.... always out of the sun,, lost track on how much we've been out ... Especially going to the beach... The sun here in Australia is very harsh,, this is a country whereas  skin cancer is prevalent....

That's why we bought this tent,,, it's a good investment considering we have to look after our family's skin and health... Its got UV protection too... Usually my youngest daughter just stay inside and have a little snooze,, or make sandcastle next to it..  that tent collected sands from all over the places now.

Whitehaven Beach

We just had a Great time  at Whitehaven Beach in the White Sunday Island..

The beach is 6km long and consists of a very fine dazzling white sand that is 98% pure Silica!
The sand is so white that you really have to wear your sunglasses to protect your eyes..

The water is so pristine and calm . It's was such a heaven swimming on a turquoise water and so relaxing feeling the powdery sand on your body..

One of the best beaches in Australia... To get there you can sail on a catamaran,, by sea plane  or catching a ferry....

This was our 3rd time here and we will keep on visiting the place because of it's magnetic beauty .

Pinoy food

Cravings Cravings.....

When I was still in the Philippines,, during Lenten season my mom would always cook Ginatan, Lumpiang Sariwa.. humm I miss my mom's cooking... Sometimes I cook that too,, but of course it's different from my moms' ,, and the ambience... there is no prusisyon (procession) here,, or penitensia (Carrying of the cross) re enactment of the Jesus' suffering, Pabasa (chanting/singing of the verse of the life & sufferings of Jesus) ... Well,, way different from here...

And of course my sister Jen is here ;so I cook Guinisang Munngo and Fish on Friday and Sinigang na Hipon on Saturday ,, 2 days of meat-free.. It taste nice....

It's good to eat Pinoy foods with someone who also enjoys it...
Well.. just stay home all day....

How about you what did you prepare on Lenten season?

Thank You Joe

Thank you to my wonderful hubby...

You have been such a good husband, friend, lover, companion, buddy, mate and most of all;  the best dad to Micah, Braiden and Bianca.

He is such a funny guy ,, who makes me laugh with his jokes and makes me feel secured and safe when I'm scared... He gives me comfort when I'm not feeling well and he gives me all he support that I need in times of trouble... He's got his moments though,, we've all got it ; but he is always doing his best for the sake of his family.

He is very good with Braiden and he's got more tricks on his sleeves than I have when it comes on pacifying him, when he is having a tantrums. I'll always tell him that he is very tuned in to his father's instinct: which I love most from him...
He is a very considerate person and for the fact that he acknowledge Braiden's difficulties made him more than a man...

One day , he started a blog for Braiden ,, he just rang up to tell me to look at it,, it was such a touching moment... I know how much he love Braiden and I'm proud of him to be able to open up to the world ; to share ,express  his feelings and inspire other dads...

I commend him for writing his thoughts for this is a way of reaching the stage of acceptance regarding Braiden's difficulties it is a gradual process resembling a journey ,, which will be full of ups and downs...

Take hold of my hand and let us take this journey together as we make our life with a happy , meaningful and memorable experiences.....

Feel free to add Joe's link Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful Boy  this is his side of story for  being a dad for Braiden...

Happy Birthday my dear boy

It's my son's 5th Birthday March 19.....

How time flies... I remember the day I gave birth to him .... Now he is an active little boy....
He is so special to our family because he's just been diagnosed with Mild Autism...
"Autism is a dysfunction of some parts of the central nervous system that affects the way an individual takes in and stores information"
"It is how we understand our world and what is happening to us. People with autism have repetitive and restricted behaviour and interests, as well as impaired communication and social interaction skills".... by  ASPECT spokesman Anthony Perl.
For us Braiden is a lovely, gentle boy with the most gorgeous smile... Braiden will always be our precious boy with or without a label of Autism attached to him....
WE DEARLY LOVE YOU BRAIDEN.........
You can learn more about him through my Mom site when mom talks and my husband's site  beautiful beautiful beautiful boy

We are Sailing..

We are sailing, we are sailing,
home again 'cross the sea.
We are sailing stormy waters,
to be near you, to be free.

My husband was singing that song while we are sailing the Whitsunday Coast...  The sceneries are beautiful  although the water is not calm... it was the best way to sail....  Rough and Exciting!!!!

We just had a good time.. The boat was tilted to one side and it feels like a roller coaster ride,,, My son was so happy and excited that he makes funny noises all throughout the wavy ride...

We had a Skipper/Captain to navigate the sailing boat,, so we feel a bit secure and safe knowing he had a good experience with sailing...

We docked on an isolated beach so we can have a nice swim on a crystal clear water...
It was a good experience and every time we visit Hamilton Island ,, we make it a point to sail and go Island hopping.... Heaven....

Snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef

Wearing our stingers suits,, getting ready to Snorkel

My little girl is Looking really scared. ha ha ha

Snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef;; which is one of the Worlds biggest coral reef system and labelled as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.. This is one of the highlights of our 1 week holiday to Hamilton Island..

We had to travel by boat and it took us 2 hours to reach the reef.. and during that time we encountered a rough sea.. which is a 3 meters of wave... we all felt sick and tired during the trip.; but when we reached our destination.. it was worth it..
Actually this was our second time to visit the reef, the first time we we're not able to snorkel we just enjoyed the views up on a helicopter ride,, and believe me it was breathtaking!! So we made a point to bring my sister Jenny so she can enjoy it too..  It was my first time to snorkel and although it was a bit scary ; it was amazing to see it's wonders!!! swimming with the fishes, sea creatures and enjoying the beauty of the corals...

Well, words are not enough to describe the excitement we felt during the experience...

I'm back!!!!

Well, Im Back from a 1 week holiday to the beautiful Hamilton Island... We've been there 2 times already and we love the place so much that we took my sister Jen who is on holiday here in Australia; to see the place we are raving so much....   I haven't unpack my bags yet,, and here I am blogging already.. IBOOK for Micah

Last Christmas we bought an Apple Ibook for our eldest daughter. We decided to give her that one because she had been good in school .. She is on year 8 now and studying in a Private School; fortunately she's got an academic scholarship; thats why we're only paying 25 % of her fee.

In her school they use Imac computers thats why we decided to give her one,, she already knows how to use it,, and she's quite good at it.

The good thing about the operating System  (Leopard ); is that it has a Parental control. We can limit her use of computer, the system that she can use,, and we can restrict certain website that's not appropriate for her and we can view all the site that she had been through... Sometimes before she can open  a site my pin number will be asked,,    A real TOTAL PARENTAL  CONTROL... It gives us a peace of mind; knowing she will not be able to access restricted sites.

We have to be strict with her whenever she using the net because there are some horrid stories  we've heard.. The net is not all good, there are some people who are using it maliciously,, thats why we have to be careful..

Her Ibook is 13 inch  2.1 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo  1 GB memory , Superdrive , Bluetooth 2.0, Built in Airport Extreme
She loves it soo much!!!

Melbourne Cup Day

Melbourne Cup is Australia's major annual thoroughbred horse race. Its billed a The Celebration that stops a nation!

The said event was held in Melbourne but the whole nation celebrate it and watch the race live on TV. It is one of the many events that Aussies love to celebrate, and it was last November 2007 that I celebrated it with my friend..

We went to a club to watch and join in with others , well actually for some people it's just an excuse for them to wear something nice and go out for lunch; it's also a tradition for women to wear a hat.. So my friend Erma and I went out to bet on some horses and have lunch..
It was fun with all the hustle and bustle ,, We also played the machine and my friend had a little bit of luck on it. But don't mistake us for being a hustler because I really don't have an idea about how that machine works,, I just press on it ,, (ha ha ha.. papindot pindot na lang..)

I didn't pick the winner of the race but it was exciting just to go out and dress up for the event. Just for FUN.....

My TV Appearance

Finished my TV appearance for The Lab with Leo Laporte.. ha ha ,, I'm feeling  like a Celebrity,, but actually it's how they do the show... they feature people who have questions about technology, and they will arrange a netcam conversation...

Actually my question was... "I bought a new Imac desktop and an Ibook and they are both working wirelessly with my airport extreme, but I have another computer which is a Sony Vaio that I want to connect ,, is it possible?"

I know it can be done,, but I just need a step by step guidance on how to connect it... he gave me some pointers and tips and I'll try to do it...
Well since I'm a new Imac user I'm not quite familiar with some of their features... so I'm learning  some if it thru the help system...
Anyway,, It was a fun day!!!! I just wanted to be on TV.. ha ha ha..  even if , it was just a brief moment.....

It will be shown on Canada and How to channel on Foxtel..
Any comment?? maybe someone can help me do a step by step guide to connect it....
